Garry Ross directed both the Hunger Games and Seabiscuit.
The two movies are completely different. As the Hunger Games is action packed
fiction, Seabiscuit is based on a true story. The Hunger Games, along with the
many action scenes, can be graphic while there is no aspect of this in the
movie Seabiscuit. However, both movies do almost have an underdog succeeding in
the end. District 12, the underdog to the Capitol in The Hunger Games, rises up
through Katniss who defies the Capitol. She proves everyone wrong by winning
the games along with Peta since only one victor is supposed to win the games.
In the movies Sea Biscuit, the jockey, trainer, and owner of the horse named
Seabiscuit rise from troubled times to become very successful. Both Katniss and
Peta and the jockey, owner, and trainer of the horse become famous through
their actions. The two movies are mostly different but do have this one aspect
in common.
