Assignment 7: make up

On October 2nd, 1789, George Washington transmitted the proposed Constitutional amendments to the states for ratification. This was certainly a good thing because it was the proposal of the Bill of Rights. This was significant in the development of the United States. The Bill of Rights is one of the key articles that make this country great. The rights of US citizens were/are essential to the United States and the global dominance of the United States. I, as well as every other American citizen, are extremely grateful for this event. It provided us with the freedoms we take for granted today. Our social structures and organization would be entirely different if not for this event. This historical event that occurred two hundred and twenty four years ago was the foundation for the United States further social development. The United States would be nowhere near where it is today if not for this key political act. This event has effected me personally in that I have been provided these right. For which, I could not be more thankful.
