Assignment 9: Grace Goulson (make-up)

War is a tricky subject. Is it really necessary? Are their other ways out? How severe shall it be when it is inevitable? Sometimes it is necessary. Most of the time it isn't. Actually, I take that back because the everyday Joe America is so incredibly uneducated when it comes to politics and foreign relations (and this includes myself). The ordinary person may think they have a grasp of what's going on in the world, but conflict between two nations or even two peoples is so complicated- I don't know if anyone really understands it. So I feel like I don't really have a place to comment on real wars, but I do feel that war should be avoided at all costs. At the same time, I realize that sometimes it makes more sense (to some people) to resolve conflicts through "war" and violence. And some violence is more severe and unnecessary than others. So if war does happen, humans should try to stay away from excessive killing and violence, because I realize that the world is not a perfect place, and wars unfortunately occur.
