Good vs. Evil

I don’t believe in absolute good or absolute evil. Everyone has their redeemable qualities, and their not-so-good qualities.  Most of the time, we only hear either only the good qualities or only the bad qualities of people, especially when the media is involved. Even when you talk to your friends, if you describe someone you know to them, you rarely ever include both types of qualities. We like to think our friends are the best people we know, but we know they have their bad qualities. Some of our friends are habitually late, some of them are gossips, some of them are lazy, etc. And we have our own bad qualities, we just don’t like to admit them. Even the people you hear about on TV, the criminals, have their good qualities; it could be having a great sense of humor, or they might have an incredible capacity to love, or maybe they just made some mistakes.  Good and bad are not mutually exclusive. There is no way to get rid of good or evil without getting rid of humans themselves. There will always be bad things done, even if people who are seen as "evil" are gone.

A great example of someone the media has portrayed as a solely "good" person is the man in this video:
