I love technology. I can look up questions I have with my homework. When I'm sick, I can
look the homework up online, or even call or text someone in my class to see what
it was. The downside is that I won't have an excuse when I forget to do my homework.
But by far,
technology is the worst inconvenience to me when it isn't working right. If my
computer is down, or our internet isn't working, I can't look up my questions,
or see what I missed. And then teachers won't take that excuse because there
are some people who will take advantage of technology's imperfections and say
that it wasn't working for them, if they just forgot to do it. And there are
sometimes, when I don’t have immediate access to it, and I need to turn an
assignment in online, or have some other pressing matter that requires it. For example, when I am at the lake, I don’t have cell
phone service, except sometimes when I'm on the boat, and even then, it's spotty, and you
can't talk on the phone. Wi-Fi is even
worse. We don’t have it at "base camp" and it's not available on the
lake. If I have to connect to the internet for any reason, I have to go ten
miles before I can connect to anything, and even then, it's awful service.
My point is, technology is awesome, but when it's not
available to you, it has unpleasant consequences, even if it's not your fault.
