iConnect - Haven

   iConnect? Huh? That's the title I posted? I'm sorry, it's just that I noticed some interesting pictures popped up in my DeviantArt messages. Actually, I was going to post this sooner but I remembered a few videos I needed to catch up on. The Homework Never Ends actually reminded me that I needed to submit this, funny enough.
    So it becomes very obvious very quickly that the internet is the one. Period. Everyone who can access it is using it. Probably right now, even. The internet can do many wonderful things for education, social connection, and - more glaringly - amusement. And that is wherein people tend to have a problem.
   When I say people I include myself. I just admitted to being distracted mere sentences ago. The internet connects things to an individual. That's an insane power! Imagine an alternate world where internet doesn't exist but you can have any bit of knowledge your mind can think of absolutely anything you want. What would you think of for fun? Cats, certainly, maybe some news about that hot new game/movie/book/review series. Would you think of actually bettering your knowledge when amusement is also just as instantaneous? 
   The internet has become that amazing superpower and virtually everyone can use. The internet has also become the single largest procrastination tool. It's worrying. It has the potential for making humans as we know it less responsible people. We can't blame the internet though, we can only blame ourselves. We make the choice to click that new link and go on an amazing journey without giving a second though to our regularly scheduled blogs. So it is up to us as the consumers of the internet to avoid being slowed down and distracted from it's massive database-
